A refined, immersive art retreat in the Chianti hills, centered on mural painting, daily inspiration, raw pigment exploration, and the beauty of slow creative practice.
This immersive retreat follows the workshop structure from concept to completion: collaborative mural design, plein air sketching, faux finish techniques, stencil work, pigment mixing, and time to develop an individual piece to take home.
Guests move between studio sessions and inspiring local experiences, drawing from the Tuscan countryside, Florence, artisan traditions, and sacred architectural spaces. The tone is elevated, restorative, and deeply hands-on.

Mixing paints from raw pigments for an individual artwork to take home.
All materials included in tuition, with paint, stencil material, and individual canvases provided.
Open to all skill levels, with room for both technique building and personal expression.
Hilary brings a muralist’s approach to place, pattern, and layered storytelling, with a retreat designed to be both technically grounded and creatively expansive.
The week balances observation, composition, technique, and execution, allowing participants to move between collective making and quieter personal studio time.
Non-participating partners or family members may join the trip without the teaching fee, making the retreat easier to position as both travel and creative experience.
Rignana Estate offers an immersive artist retreat setting among vineyards, olive groves, open lawns, a renaissance church, and panoramic Chianti views. The estate itself becomes part of the creative process.

The live retreat page presents four room categories. This section brings those options forward so room choice becomes part of the landing page sales flow rather than a buried detail.
Per person for 6 nights based on room choice and occupancy.
Per participating guest. Partners and family members may join without the teaching fee if they are not taking the workshop.
This page is set up to support a stronger Squarespace booking path: room-selection first, then availability request or sign-up. That mirrors the sales logic used on the live retreat page more closely.
Guests arrange their own travel, with Florence as the most convenient gateway and optional taxi or carpool coordination before arrival.
